Development Process

1. Concept & Design

The initial concept for Ant Smash came from the classic 20s game 'Ant Smash'. I thought of remaking it but making it multiplayer and with better animations. No stress just entertainment to let out your fristation.

2. Art & Animation

The game's visual style was developed to be clean and readable while maintaining an engaging aesthetic. All the animations were done by me. Adding different 2D models of bugs was a challenging task.

3. Programming & Implementation

Built using Unity, it was tedious to built the multiplayer & the leaderboard feature. But it was fun to actually code the animations and the mechanics.

4. Testing & Polish

Extensive playtesting was conducted to fine-tune difficulty curves and ensure the game remained engaging across different skill levels. User feedback was incorporated to improve controls, add new features, and refine the overall experience.

5. Release & Updates

The game was released on multiple platforms with regular updates adding new content, features, and improvements based on player feedback. The development team continues to support the game with new content and optimizations to ensure the best possible experience for players.
